Rainbow in a Jar! - St. Patricks Day

After searching pinterest for my St. Patricks Day craft choice, I decided on a Rainbow in a Jar! It couldn't have been more simple and dare I say it? Cute! Any excuse that I have to use a mason jar, is a good one.

Supplies:

-Mason Jar (or anything similar, 1$ at Hobby Lobby!)
-Bag of Skittles (I went with the largest bag I could find at walmart)
-Gold Chocolate Coins (believe it or not, Hobby Lobby)
-Twine (my go to string of choice for gift tags)
-Paper (I used an old manila type folder that I cut up! free)

Directions:

This was so simple and self-explanatory! I honestly sat in front of the TV watching The Bachelor (horrible!) Finale with Juan Pablo and sorted skittles. I also ended up snacking on a few. I found it best to grab a few cups and just start throwing them in, in the order of the rainbow of course.

Once the sorting had stopped, I grabbed a handful of chocolate coins and placed them in the bottom of the jar, no particular order. I liked it best when I stood a few up so you could see them more clearly from outside of the jar.

Starting rainbow backwards I filled it up! It's just an eyeball of a guess, you'll know when to switch to the next color.

Now to one of my favorite parts of gift giving, the tags! I cut up an old folder that was being thrown out and traced an outline of a tag I printed and found from the internet. Wala!

I seriously can't wait to give these out to a couple of my friends.
